    Abstract:

Applications: 1. A system for simultaneous detection of cholesterol, creatinine and glucose using three different recognition elements coated on a single substrate or working electrode is provided. The system includes three different recognition elements which are electro-polymerized in three different rectangular sections or regions on a single substrate (electrode), separated by laser-ablated μ-channels. 2. The three different recognition elements, namely, polyacrylamide (PAA), poly methyl orange (PMO) and poly methylene blue (PMB) were successfully electro-polymerized without any transversal cross-over or mixing using the pre-engraved μ-channels. These three electro-polymers act as the selective recognition elements for glucose, cholesterol and creatinine, respectively. 3. The developed multi-analyte electrochemical sensor (MAES) can be used for simultaneous sensing of three different bio-markers in a blood sample using a single scan.
Advantages: 1. Simultaneous detection of cholesterol, creatinine and glucose using three different recognition elements coated on a single substrate or working electrode is provided. 2. Three different recognition elements were coated, using electro-polymerization, on three different sections of a common base material (Ni-reduced graphene oxide – polymer composite), separated by μ (micro)-channels. 3. The developed sensor electrode was used for simultaneous detection of glucose, creatinine and cholesterol.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work
read more >>

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
