Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate-1 in a time bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details.
Project Title: “Neuronal” regulation of tumor cell migration- understanding the role of semaphorins in tumor cells undergoing EMT and subjected to differential flow dynamics
Principal Investigator: Dr. Venkatesh Kadbur Prabhakar Rao, Department of Mechanical Engineering
Project Tenure: 18 Months
Job Description: Candidate will carry out the cell culture and study the mechanodiagnosis of cancer. He/ She will also fabricate the microfluidic channels. Additionally, he/she will examine the effect of flow induced shear stress on electromechanical properties of cancer cells. He/she will also compare the results with existing models and will propose new models based on findings. He/she will also write the research papers in indexed journals, conferences and patents..
Age: Upper Age Limit Age not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 year for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.
Fellowship: 31,000/- per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates 25,000/-per month for non-NET/GATE qualified candidates Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time PhD program at BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.
