Key Skills
:  
M. Tech. (or BTech with a valid GATE score) from a reputed institute in chemical/mechanical engineering or allied discipline with hands-on research expertise in computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). Desirables: Experience in any programming language, developing and implementing codes on HPC. Knowledge of any CFD software such as Ansys, OpenFoam, multiphase flow particle solver etc is an advantage. Exceptional candidate with B-Tech degree and desired expertise are also encouraged to apply.

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) within a project funded by SERB at department of chemical engineering, IIT Hyderabad.

Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (PhD candidate)

Sponsoring Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)

Title of Research Project: Towards large scale modelling of dense gas-solid fluidized beds with nonspherical particles.

Job description: To develop constitutive relations for coarse graining of multiphase particle flow model such as CFD-DEM. Project requires a strong background in theoretical and computational fluid mechanics with experience in any programming language.

Age limit: 35 years (can be relaxed based on applicant’s experience and provisions) 

Appointment period: 2 years (extendable based on performance and availability of funds).
