The Equipment Usage Rate depends on three factors: 1.User Type – e.g. Academic User, Industry User, Start-up User, etc. 2.Unit of Measurement (UOM) – e.g., per hour, per sample, etc. 3.Analysis Type
Before booking the equipment slot, Public Users can view the following details: 1.Equipment Name 2.Make and Model 3.Host Institute Name and Department 4.Equipment Description (provided by the host institute) 5.Equipment Image (if uploaded) 6.Equipment Status (Up/Down) 7.Equipment Usage Rate
Yes, users can book the equipment slot even if the Equipment Usage Rate is not updated on the portal.
FBR (Facility Booking Record) is a unique 10-digit number generated for every equipment slot booking. The I-STEM system shares the FBR with: 1.The Public User via email and SMS 2.The concerned institute custodians via email
FBR status indicates the progress of an Equipment Booking Request. Users can check it using the "Status of Facility Booking Record" option on the Home Page.
There are five types of FBR statuses: 1.Pending 2.Slot Allocated 3.Executed 4.Rejected 5.Cancelled
1.Public Users receive both Email and SMS Notifications. 2.Custodians receive Email Notifications only. 3.If custodians disable Email Notifications in their profile settings, they will not receive updates.
Yes, users and any custodian (including the Equipment Operator) can discuss an FBR using the FBR Discussion option after logging into the I-STEM portal.
Only users can raise grievances
No, login is not required to search for equipment on the I-STEM portal.
Yes, users must log in to book an equipment slot.
Search results show: 1.A list of available equipment and their host institute names. 2.Aerial distance between the user’s device and the host institute (if location services are enabled). 3.Location markers on the map.
