    Abstract:

Applications: 1. A nanotechnology based nasal air filter for breathing, the said filter comprising a base body and at least two concha cartridges. A Nano-pad adapted to be fit inside a body vessel of the base body. Each of the concha cartridges is adapted to receive a plurality of antibacterial layers. 2. The nasal filter as per the present invention comprises of micro-Nano pillars, to remove all the undesirable matter from inhaled air. The herein disclosed nasal filter is capable of mimicking the natural breathing process, is compact in structure and is comfortable for the user to use.
Advantages: 1. The nasal filter as per the present invention does not require the insertion of the filter inside the nostrils of the user. 2. The nasal filter as per the present invention does not require any face straps for support. This is because of the silicone body with clipping ability for attachment to the nose. 3. The nasal filter as per the present invention is capable of working at two scales i.e. micrometer and nanometer. 4. The nasal filter as per the present invention is capable of cell adhesion properties for bacterial cells, PM2.5 particle entrapment through the micro-nano pillars. 5 The nasal filter as per the present invention is capable of sanitizing the internal cavity of the nasal filter through antibacterial gel. 6. Micro-nano pad, of the nasal filter as per the present invention, is adapted to absorb the moisture present in the inhaled air which is particularly beneficial for the patients of asthma and bronchitis. 7. The nasal filter as per the present invention facilitates the person wearing the said nasal filter to use it for inhaling and exhaling and if needed he/she can also talk and eat while wearing the mask. 8. The nasal filter as per the present invention is economical as well.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
