    Abstract:

Applications: 1. The present invention relates to the field of sensor-based air quality monitoring networks. The Invention in particular provides air quality monitoring device and its method of operation. 2. The present subject matter described herein relates to a low-power realtime ambient air quality monitoring device, and more particularly, the invention relates to integrate the power saving features of NarrowBand IoT (NBIoT) and MQTT technology to invent a novel state of the art realtime ambient air quality monitoring network. 3. The invention will be useful in locations where there is a cellular NBIoT service available from the mobile network provider and there are power constraints which would otherwise result in data loss and higher levels of energy usage.
Advantages: 1 Primary object of the present invention is to overcome the limitation associated with prior art. 2. Present invention is to provide an NBIoT and MQTT based Air Quality Monitoring Network. 3. Present invention is to provide an air quality monitoring device based on power saving features of the cellular data communications network. 4. Present invention is to provide an air quality monitoring device with most power efficient and longest-possible battery life when compared to all of the above. 5. Present invention is to provide method of operation of the air quality monitoring device.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
