    Abstract:

Applications: Elbow joint gets affected in trauma and patients with rheumatoid arthritis. In rheumatoid arthritis, the cartilage of the elbow joint wears down, due to which the movement of the joint becomes painful and affects the daily life of the patient. In trauma patients, the elbow joint may get damaged and the movement of the joint may be completely stopped in severe cases. Analgesics are a temporary solution for such conditions. However, considering the severity of the elbow joint condition, a total elbow arthroplasty is required. The elbow Implant comprises of a humerus stem part an ulna stem part and an assembly pin. The product consists of optimal dimensions to fit properly into the medial canals of the humerus and ulna bones.
Advantages: The implant provides minimal loss of the native bone for the purpose of fitment. The product consists of minimal no of parts for the ease of assembly.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
