    Abstract:

Applications: Police protection body armor Body armor which protects all major body parts Easy to use, Should protects various attacks of rioters Flexible Velcro straps for easy usage More breathable with good quality of fabric More freedom of movement and ergonomic design for Indian police force Curve design: shoulder, thigh, forearm and leg area
Advantages: Current design have lots of problem like heat generation in chest area due to multiple layers of protection, suffocation, lack of body movement (shoulder and thigh restriction) Whereas our design is based on the Indian anthropometric measurement which helps the product to perfectly fit on the user body. In the chest part we used the 3D fabric materials which help to reduce weight of product and make it more breathable for user. The design of the armor is more curves which reduce the impacts of stones and deflect them easily. The weight of armor can be reduce by using new materials The design gives more access for body movement compare to other products The flexible Velcro straps which is easily adjustable and also repairable by local know how.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
