Please describe in detail including the TRL Level:
The CIRC-COWCAM assay kit is developed and validated in the institute laboratory for detecting cow milk adulteration in camel milk as well as vice versa at a minimum level of 1 percent. It is useful for the dairy industry, NGO and other stakeholders dealing with the sale of camel and cow milk. The technology is at the level of TRL- 5. The technology has been submitted to the Agrinnovate India Limited to find potential buyer

    Abstract:

Applications: Presently, due to high market demand and less supply of camel milk, it is being adulterated with cow milk. As it is well known, food adulteration is a global concern and developing countries like India are at higher risk. The CIRC-COWCAM assay kit is useful for detecting cow milk adulteration in camel milk as well and vice versa at a minimum level of 1 percent. It will be useful for the dairy industry, NGO and other stakeholders dealing with the sale of camel and cow milk.
Advantages: The CIRC-COWCAM Assay kit is useful for detecting cow milk adulteration in camel milk as well as vice versa at a minimum level of 1 percent. The test can be completed less than 4 hours. The kit is less expensive, user friendly, rapid and specific in detection of adulteration of camel milk with cow milk or vice-versa. It will be useful for the dairy industry, NGO and other stakeholders dealing with the sale of camel and cow milk.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
