We have a vacancy for one SRF in one of our R&D projects titled, “Centre of Excellence on Energy Aware Urban Infrastructure” sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), GoI. It is a multi-disciplinary project of grant around 17 Cr, and is focused on R&D as well as demonstration of developed technology in a real environment. It is also supported by several industry partners.
The selected SRF need to contribute in the broad area of Power Electronic converter for panel integrated solar PVs with several interesting features. He/she may also join for PhD/MS at IIT Kharagpur if selected through the standard admission tests/interview.

Other relevant details are as follows:
A. Essential Qualification (mandatory):
1. BE/BTech with valid GATE Score in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent
OR
BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent along with ME/MTech in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with specialization, ‘Power Electronics and/or Machine drives’ or equivalent
2. First class from 10th standard onwards
3. Minimum two years of research experience in the field of Electrical Engineering preferably in the area of Power Electronic converter development and testing.
B. Desirable experience/qualification (preferable, not mandatory):
1. ME/MTech with specialization, ‘Power Electronics and/or Machine drives’ or equivalent
2. Power Electronic converter hardware development and testing for solar photovoltaic system
3. Embedded coding preferably for Power Electronic converter systems
4. PCB design, fabrication, and testing
C. Salary: 35,000/- per month
D. Age limit: Upper age limit is 32 years. Relaxable upto 5 years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped / Visually Handicapped and female applicant
E. Duration/Tenure: 52 Months
F. Accommodation: Hostel facility may be provided inside IIT Kharagpur campus.
