Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Project Associate-I/II (JRF/SRF) in a time bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details: Position: Project Associate-I/ Project Associate-II
Project Title: “Development of 2D materials based sensor systems for rapid diagnosis of human diseases through analysis of exhaled breath” under Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE) scheme of DST.

Project Tenure: 4 years
Job Description: Project Associate-I/II will carry out the experimental work including data collection, materials synthesis, characterizations, device fabrication and testing. He/she will also write the research papers in indexed journals, conferences and file patents. He/she will all be involved in design of a prototype device. Essential Qualification and specializations: ME/M.Tech in Microelectronics/Electronic Devices/ any specialization of VLSI / Nanotechnology/ Material Science Engineering/ Electronics Communication with primary knowledge in Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence
Fellowship amount: Project Associate-I: Rs. 31,000 + 8% HRA for candidates who have qualified for GATE or CSIR/UGCJRF/NET or similar examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Candidates who have not qualified for the above conditions are entitled to a fellowship of Rs. 25,000 + 8% HRA.
Project Associate-II: A minimum 2 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. Rs. 35,000 + 8% HRA for the candidates who have qualified for GATE or CSIR/UGC-JRF/NET or similar examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Candidates who have not qualified for the above conditions are entitled to a fellowship of Rs. 28,000 + 8% HRA.
Registration for PhD: Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time PhD program at BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.

Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Pilani, if required. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
