Call for Research Associates
Data trusts are an emerging paradigm, where datasets of several independent sources are held in trust by a third party, to facilitate exchange of relevant datasets among different stakeholders for overall benefit. One of the primary challenges of data trusts is consent management. This involves the problem of specifying policies for data access, that is based on the express or implied consent of the data owner, as well as applicable regulations.
The research associate for this project will be involved in designing such a consent management framework, and connecting it with access control mechanisms. Applicants should preferably have a Master’s degree (MTech/MS (by Research)/ME) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related areas. They should be have a strong hands-on experience with building web applications and APIs. Background in formal logic and reasoning, is an added bonus.
